Socialism: a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people or companies
Capitalsim: a way of organizing an economy so that the things that are used to make and transport products are owned by individual people and companies rather than by the government
North and South Korea can be the good examples of these.

I’m going to talk about the gap between the rich and the poor and how socialism and capitalism are related to these. First of all, I’m going to talk about how serious the rich-poor gap problem is. The gap between the rich and the poor is becoming bigger and bigger, so that it becomes one of the most serious problem supernationally. Lots of economists are saying that this is the result of the capitalism and neo-liberalism. However, the difference between socialism and capitalism also cause the gap between the poor and the rich. For example, North and South Korea, North is following the socialism and South is following the capitalism. As a result, the economic gap between them became much bigger. Actually, capitalism is more efficient to develop economically than the socialism. Therefore, it’s quite hard for socialist to survive in this society, so we need an adjustment on these world economic structure.
